The Ego Death of Kevin Garcia
Life in all its uncertainty and ambiguity only has one constant. That constant is change. Change is inevitable and change is a part of our lives. We have deaths of ourselves often as we learn, live, and grow. Kevin Garcia is a part of who Kode is, Kevin is his name but Kode is who he is. Kevin is his lower self in the physical form. The two exist in a balance that results in a better worldview and allows for clarity and understanding in the mind of Kode. He previously donned the moniker of OvaFlow and later changed to Kode Knox in 1999 in California to represent his higher self. Kode is derived from the term “co-defendant” while Knox was initially from a colloquialism in the Bay Area that uses the term Knock, for a good song. In September 2020 he had a spiritual awakening that changed his life completely. He deciphered the meaning of his name with Kode meaning Legend and Knox drawing from the term equinox in reference to a time when day and night are equal. This is symbolic of the balance that Kode needed to achieve to become his higher self. For him, everything came full circle, and all the events to ever happen to him in his life made sense.
After fully embodying his higher self as Kode Knox, he found his higher self to be mystical, intuitive, and sensitive. His wisdom and aura garner respect from those around him. He has a quiet power that is tapped into the cosmos and this leads him to seek enlightenment and a better path over a materialistic perspective. He is self-aware and continuously seeks to learn more about the unknown. As Kode Knox, he sharpened his skills as an analytical thinker and harnessed the power of deep and intense concentration. This allows him to give sound advice that draws from his higher self. Kode is easygoing and adaptable and his confidence, charm, and wit will always draw more people towards him. You see Kode had to transform and undergo the metamorphosis to become his true and balanced, higher self. He is resurrecting the ego and expanding it. He is protecting his true self and not being a prisoner of his past.
